Using our work

Our work on the site is licensed using the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. This means you are free to make use of our work on this site for other purposes, provided you attribute it back to us.

The blog is published using Leafpub and served using nginx. The font used on the site is Maven Pro, via Google Fonts. Post images are all creative commons licenced, via Flikr or Unsplash.

The Future Wise website records (as do most other webpages) the IP address of the computer you visit us from, and some other details about the browser you are using and the site that referred you to us.

We have previously had Google Analytics installed on the site, which gave us more information about who is looking at what page and when. In line with our commitment to reducing corporate and government surveillance, we have replaced it with OpenWebAnalytics - which does basically the same stuff but without your data going back to the Google Mothership.

Remember if you are in Australia, that your IP, our IP and various other related data are retained by your internet service provider or phone company under the mandatory data retention laws, and can be accessed without a warrant.
